The purpose of this study is a historical and theological analysis of the Catholic social teaching on war and peace, its sources and practical application. According to the scientists, the research should help reveal new aspects of the development of this teaching, in order to develop new principles and ways to ensure a just peace and collective security, as well as clarify new opportunities for strengthening the peace-making role of the Church.
